Show Love, Affection To PLWDs, Says Gwanda Junior Town Clerk

Gwanda junior town clerk, Anele Ndiweni has called upon society, particularly youths, to embrace people living with disabilities (PLWDs) inorder to motivate them achieve their lifelong dreams.

Ndiweni made the remarks following a donation handed over to the Nkomwa Foundation Trust (NFT) by Red Cross Gwanda district, recently.

“I believe that as youths we can be advocates for PLWDs.

"We can end discrimination thereby build relationships between the able-bodied and PLWDs,” she said.

PLWDs need equal opportunities in education and sport.

Ndiweni also reiterated the need to avail them business opportunities.

“There is need to come up with business ideas and projects which benefit all, including PLWDs.

“Being disabled is not the end of life, PWDs need our support and above all we need to pray for them so that God intervenes and unite us to clear the misconceptions and help communities understand that we are the same,” Ndiweni said.
